Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance team. You will own and schedule the preventative maintenance program for production and facility equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing equipment repair or maintenance planning, strong organizational skills, Lean/CI experience, and CMMS proficiency. You will coordinate with contractors, support safety, and contribute to plant improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in manufacturing equipment repair or maintenance planning.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS software.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage PM schedule for production and facility equipment.
  • Develop and track preventive and reactive work orders.
  • Maintain maintenance records in CMMS and asset registers.
  • Provide data analysis and KPI reports from CMMS.
  • Coordinate third-party contractors for plant maintenance.
  • Support safety processes and align with plant strategy.
  • Support engineering projects and embed lessons learned.
  • Manage fleet maintenance services.

About the RoleWe are seeking a Maintenance Planner to be a part of the Maintenance team based in Charlotte, NC. This position directly reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager and does not supervise others.ShiftFulltime8 hours, Monday - FridayQualificationsEducation Background:High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Knowledge & Experience:Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in manufacturing equipment repair or partsPlanning experience for maintenance activitiesOrganizational skillsExperience with Information analysisContinuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing experienceProficient with MS Office and CMMS softwareExperience as a project team member, contributing to successful project execution through leadership, collaboration, and delivery of key objectivesValid driver's license and safe driving record requiredKey Attributes:Excellent written and interpersonal communicationStrong understanding of manufacturing equipment and facility maintenanceStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Key AccountabilitiesPrepares, schedules, and maintains preventative and predictive maintenance program for equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment through the following actions:Ownership of the maintenance Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule for all production and facility equipment. Develops, schedules, and controls preventive and reactive work orders to maintain machinery and equipment in proper working condition.Manage maintenance records in the following areas/systems, but not limited to: Electronic records of all PMs, Work order history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Contractor documentation for safety inspections and PMsOwnership of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as an expert userRegular requirement to interpret and manipulate data within CMMS, including asset registers, PM task lists, backlog data, and KPI reportsProvide technical support (problem solving, etc.) to the Maintenance group when needed.Assist in locating and ordering parts and materials for maintenance workCoordinate activities of key third party contractors who perform regular maintenance work in the plantSupport improvement projects aligned with the plant strategy, ensuring successful implementation and measurable business resultsParticipate in plant safety processes. Supports compliance with site procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal standardsEnsure planning processes effectively incorporate safety, permit, and risk management requirements to support safe and compliant execution of workSupport the key projects of the engineers.
