Job summary

Celgard, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Charlotte, NC to join the Maintenance team. You will report to the Plant Maintenance Manager and focus on preventive and predictive maintenance planning.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong CMMS/data analysis skills, and the ability to manage multiple work orders, parts sourcing, and contractor coordination within a safe and compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in manufacturing equipment repair or parts.
• Planning experience for maintenance activities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to analyze information.
• Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and CMMS software.
• Experience leading in project teams and collaborating to deliver objectives.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Own PM schedule for all production and facility equipment; manage work orders.
• Maintain CMMS records and asset data; oversee CMMS as an expert user.
• Interpret CMMS data, backlog, and KPI reports for decision making.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance group and source parts/materials.
• Coordinate activities of third-party contractors for plant maintenance.
• Support safety, risk management, and compliance in planning.
• Collaborate with engineers to embed lessons learned into PMs and projects.

About The Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to be a part of the Maintenance team based in Charlotte, NC. This position directly reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager and does not supervise others.

Qualifications

Education Background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in manufacturing equipment repair or parts
• Planning experience for maintenance activities
• Organizational skills
• Experience with Information analysis
• Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing experience
• Proficient with MS Office and CMMS software
• Experience as a project team member, contributing to successful project execution through leadership, collaboration, and delivery of key objectives
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required

Key Accountabilities

Prepares, schedules, and maintains preventative and predictive maintenance program for equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment through the following actions:

• Ownership of the maintenance Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule for all production and facility equipment. Develops, schedules, and controls preventive and reactive work orders to maintain machinery and equipment in proper working condition.
• Manage maintenance records in the following areas/systems, but not limited to: Electronic records of all PMs, Work order history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Contractor documentation for safety inspections and PMs
• Ownership of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as an expert user
• Regular requirement to interpret and manipulate data within CMMS, including asset registers, PM task lists, backlog data, and KPI reports
• Provide technical support (problem solving, etc.) to the Maintenance group when needed.
• Assist in locating and ordering parts and materials for maintenance work
• Coordinate activities of key third party contractors who perform regular maintenance work in the plant
• Support improvement projects aligned with the plant strategy, ensuring successful implementation and measurable business results
• Participate in plant safety processes. Supports compliance with site procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal standards
• Ensure planning processes effectively incorporate safety, permit, and risk management requirements to support safe and compliant execution of work
• Support the key projects of the engineers. Works with engineering and reliability functions to embed lessons learned, equipment history, and failure trends into job plans and PMs
• Manage and track all scheduled and required fleet maintenance services (PMs, oil changes, DOT inspections, state inspections, etc.)
• Maintain valid driver's license and safe driving record

Working Environment

This position is in a manufacturing plant setting that would require working in a production environment around chemicals and machinery. Work will be in office and production areas and may require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate. You may be required to lift up to 35 pounds and/or force necessary to push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
