Job summary

ESFM USA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Planner in Charlotte, NC to plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance activities using a CMMS. The role balances customer needs with technician availability and operational priorities to maximize equipment reliability.

Responsibilities include managing work orders from initiation to completion, coordinating technicians and vendors, and maintaining accurate records.

  • We have an opening for a full time MAINTENANCE PLANNER position.
  • Location: KES - 2400 Yorkmont Road Charlotte, NC 28217 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday - Friday. More details upon interview!
  • Requirement: Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, facilities management, commercial foodservice equipment, or a related maintenance environment. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
  • Fixed Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support of food service programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client centric manner.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance activities while balancing customer needs, technician availability, and operational priorities.
  • Manage maintenance of work orders from initiation through completion using a CMMS, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and quality execution.
  • Coordinate technicians, vendors, parts, and materials to maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing proactive communication, resolving maintenance issues promptly, and using maintenance analytics to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including but not limited to proposed disciplinary notices.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student’s parents and Supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and up to date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment - using computer, making sure addition is correct and checking item prices against bid specifications, making sure there is no discrepancy in pricing.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
