Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Charlotte, NC. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in maintenance planning or related fields and CMMS experience. You will coordinate with technicians and vendors to maximize equipment reliability, schedule preventive maintenance, and manage work orders from initiation to completion.

The position offers a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri) with a fixed pay rate of $24.00 per hour and is based at the KES - 2400 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC 28217.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in maintenance planning/scheduling or facilities management.
• Experience using a CMMS to manage work orders and schedules.
• Knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support of food service programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client centric manner.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance activities while balancing customer needs, technician availability, and operational priorities.
• Manage maintenance of work orders from initiation through completion using a CMMS, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and quality execution.
• Coordinate technicians, vendors, parts, and materials to maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by providing proactive communication, resolving maintenance issues promptly, and using maintenance analytics to support continuous improvement.
• Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including but not limited to proposed disciplinary notices.
• Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
• Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student's parents and Supervisor.
• Complete and maintain accurate and up to date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
• Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
• Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
• Process vendor invoices for payment - using computer, making sure addition is correct and checking item prices against bid specifications, making sure there is no discrepancy in pricing.
• Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
• Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
• Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
