Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Maintenance Planning Leader to own maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS governance, and reliability initiatives at our Virginia Medium Power Transformer site.

You will develop strategies, optimize schedules, and drive data‑driven improvements while ensuring safety and compliance. You will collaborate across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety and Supply Chain to deliver KPIs, coordinate shutdowns, manage backlog, and ensure readiness of labor,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, industrial maintenance, reliability, or related technical environments.
• Experience using CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, eMaint, Infor, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, work management, asset reliability, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze maintenance and operational data using Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans, job plans, asset records, PM libraries, and equipment hierarchies within the CMMS.
• Create and manage weekly, monthly, shutdown, outage, and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Analyze maintenance and asset performance data and develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Lead maintenance planning processes, including work prioritization, backlog management, scheduling, and workflow compliance.
• Ensure labor, materials, tooling, permits, documentation, and job kits are ready before work execution.
• Coordinate major maintenance shutdowns and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and service providers.
• Support TPM, RCM, RCA, continuous improvement, and reliability programs.
• Partner across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety teams.

As the functional owner of maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS governance, maintenance analytics, materials readiness, and work management processes, you will help ensure that critical manufacturing assets perform at their best while supporting a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Your background

• Experience using CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, eMaint, Infor, or equivalent platforms.
