Hood Distribution McQuesten Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinate with maintenance, production, and operations teams, and ensure readiness of parts and tools for work orders.

You will maintain Guardian Web CMMS data, support planning meetings, and monitor KPI metrics to minimize downtime and optimize mill performance.

• Minimum 2 years in industrial maintenance, planning & scheduling or related roles.
• Experience coordinating with maintenance, production and operations teams.
• Proficient with MS Office and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities and work orders.
• Partner with maintenance, production, and operations teams to ensure work is properly planned and executed.
• Prepare and kit work orders ensuring required parts, tools, and resources are available.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Help develop and improve maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain and update the Guardian Web CMMS system including work orders, PMs, equipment data, and parts information.
• Scope and define work to support equipment reliability and overall mill performance.
• Support Maintenance Supervisors in scheduling labor and resources to minimize production downtime.
• Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to manage changes and updates to preventive maintenance procedures.
• Maintain and update maintenance plans, SOPs, JHAs, and related documentation.
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and production teams to plan and execute maintenance jobs.
• Analyze and manage maintenance backlog data and support prioritization of work.
• Lead maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
• Generate routine maintenance reports, schedules, and KPI tracking.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance, planning & scheduling, or related manufacturing support roles, including production leadership or skilled operations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
• General understanding of maintenance workflows and processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
• Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as needed to support mill operations or project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school training or college degree.
• Experience working with CMMS platforms.
• Familiarity with industrial plant equipment and specifications.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $85,000
