Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support our plants in Kennesaw and Smyrna, GA. This on-site role owns the maintenance planning system and drives reliability through CMMS, RCA and standard work practices across the plant.

As part of the operations leadership team, you will oversee maintenance scheduling, asset data, and PCI/PM programs while ensuring food safety and quality in all activities. Flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ industrial Mechanical experience or two-year technical degree preferred.
• HACCP Certification required.
• Forklift License or able to complete training within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with CMMS and master data management.
• Knowledge of ovens, bakery equipment and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own MP&S competency and ensure CMMS master data standards are followed.
• Review incoming work orders and confirm SIMPTWWI data on plans.
• Maintain assets in CMMS including BOMs, PMS and critical spare parts.
• Drive reliability improvements and participate in daily direction meetings.
• Manage spare parts process and safety stock alignment.
• Create and publish the weekly plant maintenance plan.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager on 30/90 day actions.
• Support SQF, HACCP and GMP practices for safe production.
• Document all maintenance work in the CMMS system.
• Support Preventative Maintenance program to reduce downtime.

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to supportour facilitiesin Kennesaw and Smyrna, GA. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for owning the Maintenance, Planning and Scheduling system. You are part of the operations leadership team that is responsible for supporting and implementing change management and productivity improvements within the plant. In addition, they will be responsible for leading Maintenance standard work practices across the plant that ensure reliability, maintainability, and availability of plant resources with specific focus on overall deterioration losses to deliver the plants Compelling Business Need. The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Dessert Holdings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible and accountable for MP&S Competency, which includes ensuring plant standards are aligned to Dessert Holdings Standards. This includes plant utilizing CMMS system as intended including following master data standardization.
• Reviews all incoming approved work orders and ensures that Safety, Material, People, Tools, When, Where (SIMPTWWI) are included on all job plans.
• Ensures all Asset's within the CMMS are maintained from Cradle to Grave, and include BOMS, PMS and critical spare parts for each asset. This includes accountability for ensuring new equipment brought in follows same standards.
• Drives improvements in equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability by ensuring focusing on plants top losses by being an active participant in Daily Direction setting meetings.
• Accountable for spare parts process and ensure proper safety stock levels and maintenance strategies are aligned.
• Creating and publishing the plant maintenance work plan for the week including any standard plant stops
• Works collaboratively with Maintenance manager to set 30/90 actions to ensure Key standard metrics are met and aligned with Dessert Holdings Standards
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)
• Will perform other duties as required by supervisor and reporting structure
• Document all Maintenance work activity within CMMS System.
• Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have experience working with Master Data and CMMS systems
• Must have Mechanical and Electrical experience and understanding.
• Must have experience Leading and owning RCA processes and systems
• Must have knowledge for identification of Component Failure modes and counter measure preventative maintenance tasks to prevent failure modes
• Ability to understand Total Cost of Ownership and ability to coach maintenance team and leaders on changes or creation to maintenance standards.
• Ability to Record all maintenance work within CMMS system and follow all CMMS Process and Procedures
• Must have a flexible schedule
• Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills
• FEMA / RCM development and implementation
• Working Knowledge of Ovens, bakery equipment, and packaging equipment.
• AIB Bakery Equipment training course is helpful.
