Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Monticello, AR is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan, schedule, coordinate, and document maintenance work, supporting safe, reliable and organized plant execution. You will work with maintenance leadership, tradespersons, production personnel and contractors to build weekly schedules, outages, and maintain SAP CMMS accuracy.

This role requires strong planning, communication, and computer skills, including SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in maintenance planning/leadership in a continuous-process industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP or CMMS systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and support outages.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate weekly maintenance work with leadership, trades, and production teams.
  • Arrange contractors, equipment, materials, and parts needed for safe maintenance.
  • Lead weekly scheduling meetings and maintain disciplined planning processes.
  • Maintain SAP CMMS data accuracy: equipment records, work orders, job plans, and related docs.
  • Support annual outages, extended shutdowns, and major maintenance events.
  • Complete additional assignments as requested by leadership.

This is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Operations Manager. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and documenting maintenance work to support safe, reliable, and organized execution of plant maintenance activities.This position works closely with maintenance management, tradespersons, production personnel, and contractors to support weekly maintenance schedules, outage planning, SAP CMMS accuracy, material coordination, and maintenance execution readiness.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the safety of associates and contractors by tracking safety-related work orders to completion and ensuring job packages identify key safety requirements.Plan, schedule, and coordinate weekly maintenance work with maintenance leadership, tradespersons, production, and contractors.Arrange contractors, equipment, materials, and parts needed to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently.Use SAP and Microsoft Office programs to support accurate planning, scheduling, purchasing, and maintenance execution.Lead weekly scheduling meetings and support disciplined planning processes.Maintain the integrity of the SAP CMMS system by updating equipment records, work orders, job plans, and related maintenance documentation.Implement standard planning and scheduling methods in alignment with Weyerhaeuser Standard Manufacturing Practices.Plan and coordinate annual outage, extended shutdown, and major maintenance work.Complete all other assignments as requested by leadership.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required, associate's degree or higher preferredFive or more years of experience in continuous-process industry in maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance leadership, or associated role.Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.Experience using SAP or another computerized maintenance management system is desirable.Ability to learn and follow disciplined planning, scheduling, and work-management processes.Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and support maintenance execution needs.Willingness to support outage, shutdown, and priority maintenance work as required.Ability to work in an industrial setting with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and plant conditions.Must support safe work practices, standard work processes, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.Monticello is a uniquely charming town that combines natural beauty with a strong sense of community, making it a hidden gem in southeast Arkansas. We want you to choose us.Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $63,828 to $95,670 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay.
