Job summary

Vicinity Energy is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop plans and schedules for capital and major maintenance projects, using reliability centered maintenance concepts. The role is based in Baltimore, MD and pays $32.60 per hour plus a 10% bonus target.

The position is full-time and non-exempt, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include planning meetings, site visits, progress reporting, and outage scope development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years? experience planning, scheduling, coordinating in industrial/power plant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate regular planning meetings to establish work priorities, sequence of short and long term work activities, and collaborate with others to determine deadlines.
  • Visit customer sites to monitor progress of maintenance projects.
  • Issues reports and conducts management presentations on work order aging, work plans, schedules, and progress updates.
  • Facilitate meetings that will review all planned work and determine what work should be scheduled.
  • Identify critical path obstacles in the process and work through them.
  • Work with supervisors to review work orders to prioritize them in regard to criticality and necessity.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager in the development of outage scopes based on existing work orders, a knowledge of concerns, and expected PM work.
  • Use the tools in CMMS to update schedules and work order statuses.
  • Creation, modification, and deletion of equipment identifications.
  • Run and distribute reports including backlog reports, KPI reports, track statistically KPI, analyze and report findings to management team on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist in the develop and update long term milestones and project schedules.
  • Follow purchasing and procurement policies when scheduling vendors or purchasing supplies.

Summary

The Maintenance Planner will develop plans and schedules and track work progress on all capital and major maintenance projects. This person will also employ reliability centered maintenance concepts to a preventive maintenance program. This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located in Baltimore, MD. The compensation for this position is $32.60 per hour plus a 10% bonus target.

Basic Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 3 years' experience planning, scheduling, coordination in an industrial or power plant setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of mechanical and piping systems with a high level of expertise using Maximo, the company's computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Maximo implementation experience, CAD 2000, SQL, and Oracle data base knowledge in an industrial application.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, ability to learn quickly and work under pressure with superior interpersonal skills.

Uses discretion concerning confidential and sensitive company information.

Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

Must possess a valid driver license in good standing in order to operate a company vehicle. Must have and maintain a driving record meeting the standards of the company.

Standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking on uneven surfaces, and grating, working from elevated platforms, scaffolding or ladders, required to lift up to and including 50 pounds and maneuver up to and including 100 pounds.

Inspect a job site.

Ability to tolerate confined spaces, including manholes and varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Exposed to temperature extremes, high noise level areas, high pressure steam lines, rotating equipment, and dusty/dirty environment.

Required to wear PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
