Job description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring for the following position in the La Porte, Texas area:

MAINTENANCE PLANNER
3-5 years Millwright experience required

The role of Maintenance Planner will be to coordinate labor, parts and materials, tools and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation, and equipment access for the maintenance team. The Maintenance Planner monitors all preventive, routine, repair, and emergency maintenance activities at the plant, using SAP as a primary tool. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Creating, reviewing, planning, scheduling, and closing work orders daily
• Coordinating activities between operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, vendors, and other agencies as necessary
• Working with all departments to define scope and priority of work and scheduling accordingly
• Ordering materials
• Submitting Purchase Order Requests
• Creating/modifying assets within SAP
• Creating and maintaining preventive maintenance requirements and records
• Tracking all tradesmen and technician feedback on work orders
• Tracking vouchered work hours and asset downtime
• Distributing weekly PMs to maintenance crews
• Scheduling in-scope project work to minimize impact on production
• Coordinating with maintenance crews to estimate labor hours and schedule work
• Performing additional tasks as required that are reasonable and safe

Requirements for the position include:

• Proficiency with SAP
• At least five years of experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities
• Three to five years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial environment
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
