Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions, headquartered in Austin, TX with operations in Kermit and Monahans, TX, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner. You will lead efforts to improve efficiency, quality, and safety of mechanical equipment and processes through SOP/SWP standardization and systematic maintenance planning.

This role requires planning and project management across multiple sites, coordination with vendors, and strong communication skills to align with facilities and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or related education.
• Minimum 2 years of planning experience with CapEx projects, Maintenance, Planning, Equipment/Process design or Manufacturing.
• Project management experience; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and Projects.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for leading efforts to improve efficiency, quality, and safety of the Mechanical equipment and processes via design and/or changes to process equipment and systems. This role will own the creation, standardization and upkeep for Mechanical equipment SOP’s and SWP’s for the Maintenance group.

Responsibilities:

• Create, update, maintain and standardize SOP’s and SWP’s
• Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating all aspects of projects, including contractors/equipment manufacturers/internal support
• Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and stock room
• Lead and contribute to new and ongoing Maintenance and Plant projects
• Support troubleshooting of process equipment issues, ensures the correct qualified individuals are involved
• The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects at varying sites, while maintaining budgets, timing and quality are a must
• Support operations in development of equipment purchase/project plans for future replacement/upgrades or process capacity increases.
• Participating in meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues. Solicit feedback from facilities and business units to improve project execution.
• Ensure effective engineering and client communications through thorough understanding of the supply chain and the impact of assigned projects/equipment/building changes.
• Participating in hazard analyses
• Developing Inspection and Test Plans for new equipment or modifications to existing
• Strong advocate for behavioral and process safety principles
• Study, analyze, and seek solutions to production issues related to design, operation, performance, modification, or repair of components
• Capable of interpreting various OEM technical manuals
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or Related Experience/Education.
• Minimum 2 years of planning experience with CapEx projects, Maintenance, Planning, Equipment/Process Design or Manufacturing.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication. Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Projects.
