Job summary

Lignetics, INC. in California is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate and schedule the plant’s maintenance program. You will develop BOMs, enter data into CMMS, and create daily work orders and packages to keep equipment running smoothly.

You will lead outages, manage spare parts, and monitor maintenance KPIs while spending time on the shop floor to understand operations and identify improvements. English proficiency and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• CMMS experience to plan and schedule work.
• High standards of housekeeping and organization.
• Roll up your sleeves approach; spend time on the floor collecting information and troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to do simple math calculations.
• Must understand and react to verbal safety commands in English in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to read and execute LOTO protocols and machine manuals.
• Clear and timely reporting of malfunctions or unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the maintenance program at the plant.

• Set up auto-reorder in CMMS and manage ordering/receiving.

Maintenance Planner

Job Type: Full time

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Salary: $27.00/hour

Maintenance Planner To Demonstrate Competence

• The Maintenance Planner will be responsible to plan and schedule the maintenance program at the plant
• Responsible to develop detailed Bill of Materials for the equipment in the plant and enter these into the CMMS
• Will develop maintenance routines for all wear components, one machine at a time and enter this into the CMMS
• Will determine what spare parts should be stocked and organize the storeroom to house these
• Responsible for setting up auto-reorder in the CMMS and ordering/receiving as needed
• Will generate work orders and work packages daily and assist the team as needed in the execution of these work orders
• Will manage the KPI’s for the maintenance function
• Will lead all planning for any major outages
• Willing to spend time understanding the operations of the equipment in order to plan improvements on the same

Communication And Teamwork

• The Maintenance Planner will be working Closely with the Maintenance Manager, will ensure that all parts, special tools and equipment are ready for any planned work
• Working with the Production Leader to plan/schedule regular on overhaul maintenance periods
• Work with Craft to ensure the detail in the work packages are understood

Maintenance Planner Qualifications/Education

• Previous use of a CMMS, or related base to plan and schedule work.
• High standards of housekeeping and organization
• The Maintenance Planner must have a "roll up your sleeves" approach, be willing to spend time on the floor collection information and troubleshooting issues.
• Requires a medium degree of technical and analytical skills. Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
• Will be working in a high temperature/ humidity area.
