Maintenance Planner

Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Lehigh Valley plant to develop detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and procedures for repairs, alterations and preventive maintenance. You will prepare daily schedules for multiple supervisors and up to 20 Maintenance Technicians, and manage the Work Flow process from identification through auditing.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Engineering/Maintenance/Logistics or Journeyman, plus 5–10 years of plant maintenance

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or Logistics, or Journeyman.
• 5 years of plant maintenance experience.
• 10 years of maintenance experience; 2 years as Planner.
• Prior experience with maintenance software and PCs is required.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed job plans with labor, materials, tools, and procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare daily work schedules for multiple supervisors and up to 20 Maintenance Technicians.
• Manage and maintain the Work Flow process from identification to auditing.
• Lead scheduling of down day and non-down days.
• Generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts/tools to support jobs.
• Develop cost estimates; track spending vs. budget and KPIs.
• Set up and maintain Preventive Maintenance work orders in EPAC (PMs, frequency, etc.).
• Supervise Storeroom Attendants.
• Administer EPAC systems, provide plant support and training, and generate performance reports.

Job Description

1. Develop detailed job plans including the labor (type and quality), materials, tools, and work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance to facilities and equipment to meet the objective of the work request.

2. Prepare daily work schedules for multiple supervisors, and up to 20 Maintenance Technicians.

3. Manage and maintain the Work Flow process (work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing).

4. Lead the scheduling of down day and non-down days.

5. As part of the planning process, generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts and tools to support the planned jobs.

6. Responsible for developing cost estimates. Tracking spending vs. budget and performance KPIs for Maintenance.

7. Set-up and maintain any Preventive Maintenance work orders established in EPAC including job plans, frequency, of work, etc.

8. Supervises the Storeroom Attendant(s)

9. EPACs Systems Administration including providing plant support and training, updating equipment hierarchies, PM generation etc. Generating performance reports.

Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):

1. Associates Degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or Logistics, or to be a Journeyman

2. 5 years of plant specific maintenance experience.

3. 10 years of maintenance experience and has been Planner for 2 years.

4. Prior experience with maintenance software and personal computers is required

5. Good organizational and scheduling skills a must

6. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, supervisory skills and be able to work well with others at all levels within the organization.
