Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Huntington, WV to perform preventative maintenance and respond to assigned tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

You will read blueprints, install and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and collaborate with operators to minimize downtime. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must wear PPE as required.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work all shifts including nights, holidays, and overtime.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work instructions.
• On-the-job training progression.
• Follow company procedures and directives.

Responsibilities

• Follows facility safety programs and policies.
• Rotates between areas within the facility.
• Receives written or verbal instructions from supervisor.
• Reads blueprints, diagrams, and sketches; makes minor sketches as needed.
• Installs, repairs, dismantles, and removes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment and lines.
• Fabricates and installs metal stock to required sizes.
• Welds, brazes, and solders metal stock and pipes as needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance duties.
• Uses micrometers and gauges and other test equipment as needed.
• Unstops sewers and cleans equipment parts.
• Operates floor-controlled crane, industrial truck, and other machinery.
• Lubricates plant equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping and workspace cleanliness.
• Assists departmental operators with various tasks.
• Identifies supplies/tools and completes tasks promptly.
• Completes all documentation related to tasks.
• Communicates quality and safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
