Job summary

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for youth. We seek a Facilities/Maintenance Technician to support building and facility systems in Dothan, AL, working 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A High School diploma and hands-on maintenance experience are required.

Must have knowledge in carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related trades; one year of maintenance experience is required, with security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. In addition to the living units, the facility houses the New Day Academy; a state-supported year-round K-12th grade school with vocational opportunities. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.

We are currently seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.

MUST HAVE Experience In The Following Areas

• Painting- professional industrial/business


• Sheetrock/drywall repair


• Basic, general experience in electrical, plumbing, and maintenace repair.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas: carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanics, security.

One Year Experience In Building Maintenance And Repair Required

One year experience in security preferred
