Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Alaska Hazardous Paint Handler Certification, and experience with airless paint sprayers. A valid Alaska driver’s license and the ability to pass a background and drug screen are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Alaska Hazardous Paint Handler Certification required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (oral and written).
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
• Experience with airless paint sprayer.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
• 4 years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with sheetrock repair and carpentry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble scaffolding as required.
• Mask surfaces with tape and drop cloths.
• Set up ventilation and PPE for safety.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling holes and sanding.
• Mix and apply coatings according to specs.
• Paint with air sprayers, rollers, and brushes.
• Review schedules and material delivery with supervisors.
• Move materials between departments as needed.
• Update inventory using manual or computer systems.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
