Job summary

Freedom Village Bradenton seeks a Maintenance Painter to perform routine painting on the community grounds and inside units, ensuring quality and safety standards. The role includes completing work orders promptly, keeping materials stocked, and communicating with residents and staff to coordinate tasks.

Requires high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in a similar setting, and knowledge of residential painting techniques (knock down and orange peel).

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• 1 year experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or painting preferred.
• CMRP certification is desired.
• Knowledge of knock down and orange peel techniques.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Maintenance Painter is responsible for property and facility general painting and paint repairs, unit make-readies to ensure quality standards and appealing grounds keeping. Hands-on position painting while ensuring all safety requirements are consistently met with quality standards delivered.

• Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.

• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building painting
• Perform maintenance painting of wall, doors, frames, baseboards, ceilings, floors repairs, including texture painting, refinishing, etc.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Must function under general supervision. Must be flexible and have integrity. Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff.

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
