Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied positions.
  • Evenings and weekends work availability with occasional extra hours.
  • Infection control and safety standards in healthcare settings preferred.
  • Basic drywall/plaster repairs a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, and priming walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.
  • Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ensure proper signage and containment of work areas to minimize disruption in patient care areas.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to complete painting projects efficiently and with minimal impact on operations.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols and comply with hospital safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain inventory of painting supplies and notify supervisor of needed replacements.
  • Respond to urgent painting or repair requests as needed during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and time spent on tasks.
