Job summary

The City of Savage is accepting applications to fill two, full-time, year-round Maintenance Operator positions in the Streets Division. Maintenance Operators work individually and as part of a team to maintain the City's streets and other infrastructure for the safe use of residents and the general public.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; however the position also requires response to call-ins on evenings, weekends and holidays for snow and ice operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in construction, maintenance and repair of streets, bridges, trails or parking lots.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within one year and no restriction on air breaks; Class B license at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain City's streets and other infrastructure to ensure safe use for residents and the general public.
• Respond to call-ins on evenings, weekends and holidays for snow and ice operations.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience in the construction, maintenance and repair of streets, bridges, trails or parking lots. Position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with tanker endorsement and no restriction on air breaks, within one year of hire and for duration of employment. (Must have at least a valid Class B license at time of application.)
