Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Maintenance Operative to assist in the day-to-day running of Lennel House Care Centre. Reporting to the Care Centre Manager, you will carry out maintenance of the building, services and grounds to keep the home safe, efficient and functional.

You will be responsible for general maintenance, decorative upkeep, grounds care, supervising contractors, energy monitoring, and maintaining health and safety records in a busy residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to work required.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• High standard of DIY including internal and external decoration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with outside agencies.
• Understanding of heating systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical appliances.
• Capability to maintain accurate inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home.
• Ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times.
• Maintain external areas and grounds for a smart appearance.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Monitor energy consumption and maintain written records.
• Maintain health and safety records and perform periodic testing of appliances.
• Respond to emergency situations within the home.

Our Residential Care Home is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Operative to assist in the day to day running of a busy and vibrant care establishment.

Reporting to the Care Centre Manager the incumbent will carry out day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services and grounds to ensure that the Home is maintained in a safe, efficient and functional order.

Job Role

• To carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home.


• To ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times.


• To ensure all external areas and grounds are kept tidy and well maintained to ensure the smart appearance of the home.


• To supervise outside contractors


• To minimize costs by monitoring energy consumption and maintaining written records.


• To upkeep all health and safety records and the periodic testing of appliances and functional items within the home.


• Expectation for post holder to responds to emergency situations within the home
