Job summary

Messer is seeking a Maintenance Operations Tech I to keep a chemical processing facility safe, efficient and compliant with regulations in Berryville, Arkansas. You will perform preventive/corrective maintenance, prioritize work, calibrate analyzers and troubleshoot mechanical equipment under supervision.

You will also support shutdowns/startups, use SAP for work orders, and participate in safety programs and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications: HS Diploma or GED, 3 years of related experience, valid driver's license.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs and PFDs; understand electrical hazards and safety; work with simple mechanical tools.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, reliability and efficiency of a chemical process facility.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks per work orders and procedures.
• Calibrate process and product analyzers; troubleshoot mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors).
• Assist in plant shutdowns, start-ups and production changes; operate CMMS (SAP).
• Perform water treatment analyses and related tasks; be on-call as required.
