Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Colorado Springs, CO to oversee repair and maintenance programs for Army assets and Base Operations. You will direct scheduling, workload planning, and compliance with PWS/PRS and ISO standards, while coordinating with DPW, DES, DPTMS, DFMWR, and DFAC teams.

The role requires strong leadership, program planning, and data analysis skills, with experience in GCSS‑A and a track record of meeting performance standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical trades or equivalent military training; business/personnel management training desirable.
• Minimum five years in management or supervision delivering maintenance services.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in planning, funds control, data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize maintenance workloads to optimize personnel use.
• Establish program objectives and assess progress.
• Develop scheduling procedures for efficient resource use.
• Work with GCSS-A system for maintenance tracking.
• Analyze maintenance reports and adjust plans to meet standards.
• Attend regular meetings with the customer and understand shop operations.
• Prepare and present maintenance briefings to IMD and PMs.
• Manage on‑the‑job training and supervise subordinates.
• Develop cost proposals for new work and workload increases.
• Other duties as assigned.
