Maintenance Operations Leader
Location: First Quality Products, McElhattan, PA.
We are seeking a Maintenance Operations Leader responsible for leading maintenance team members, managing company assets, and ensuring safe and efficient machine operation while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- General Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
- Monitor maintenance work orders and set crew/shift goals.
- Plan daily maintenance activities and provide resources for off‑shift/after‑hours support.
- Handle additional duties as directed.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Coordinate shift support and crew communications.
- Communicate process changes and quality specification updates.
- Support teams on key initiatives and special projects.
- Safety Leadership:
- Demonstrate 100% compliance with safety best practices.
- Promote a zero‑loss time mentality through continuous improvement.
- Ensure team participation in monthly safety audits, committees, observations, and LMS training.
- People Leadership:
- Model company values and build team morale.
- Lead, coach, and mentor direct team members and indirect support teams.
- Empower accountability and develop trusting relationships.
- Drive task completion, provide timely feedback, and collaborate with Maintenance Manager and Training Department on skill development.
- Assess technical skills to identify training needs.
- Business Management & Administration:
- Lead asset management and housekeeping program.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules; continuously evaluate PM program efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and components.
- Support business improvement projects and line changeovers.
- Manage events/incidents per protocols; maintain time and attendance records.
- Collect and publish maintenance metrics and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of college courses (preferred).
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a maintenance role (preferred).
- Minimum of two years in a leadership capacity.
- Knowledge or experience with CMMS.
- Excellent oral and written communication, computer, and mathematical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel).
