Job summary

First Quality is seeking a Maintenance Technician in McElhattan, PA. This 12-hour shift runs from 6:45 pm to 7:00 am, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment and components.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of mechanical experience and a strong grounding in pneumatics, hydraulics, and measuring tools. You will support GMP, FDA, and ISO compliance and work in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of three years of industrial/mechanical experience.
  • Technical/vocational training in mechanics is preferred.
  • Candidates should have advanced mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics is expected.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
  • Experience using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Observe safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Repair mechanical components of equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical issues and take corrective actions.
  • Operate machines to test repairs after completion.
  • Conduct changeovers and setups as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and report findings.
  • Train teammates and share knowledge as applicable.

Maintenance Technician

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Nutek Disposables Company located in McElhattan, PA. This is a 12- hour position working 6:45 pm-7:00 am. This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components.

Only looking for 1-2 years' experience with mechanical skills.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that repairs can be tested when complete.
  • Conducts or assists with changeovers and setups as directed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings to the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Recommends modification of preventative maintenance requirements and changes to periodicity as needed.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
  • Completes all paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion.
  • Operates equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of Industrial Experience or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge.
  • Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Standard knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
