Kelly Services is partnering with Signode to find Night Shift Maintenance Technicians in the Florence, KY area. This location produces strap, stretch and protective packaging and packaging tools used to apply bulk packaging materials. These commercial packaging products are used to pack, bundle, unitize, protect and secure goods during warehousing and transit.

Shift
- 3rd Shift: 7:45 pm to 8:00 am (12‑hour shift). Rotative schedule: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
Salary
- $30.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience + 10% shift differential
- Potential to advance to Senior Technician and earn up to $41.00 per hour
Summary
The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. The technician must comply with applicable regulations and the department’s safety program.
Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely, complete, and cost‑effective manner.
- Maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings to management.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
- Identify and recommend corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended downtime.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Respond quickly to any issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, including rectifying immediate dangers.
- Maintain building safety and appearance, including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
- Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment; or equivalent experience and training.
- Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to product quality and equipment repair.
- Good working knowledge of electricity and experience troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Knowledge and experience with PLCs and drives is preferred.
- Experience with MIG and/or arc welding is preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred; training will be provided.
