Georgia-Pacific in Palatka, FL is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on site. The role emphasizes improving uptime and reliability to meet production goals, with a Monday–Friday 8-hour day shift and starting pay of $40.07/hour.

Key duties include machine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical systems, high-elevation work, and documentation of labor hours and PM findings. Welding, alignment, and parts replacement are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with hoists and cranes.
• Ability to pass a standard weld test.
• Experience in precision maintenance.
• Experience with precision alignment tools.
• 1+ years reading blueprints and drawings.
• 3+ years in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections and maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission and steam systems.
• Work at heights above 80 feet using man lifts in confined spaces.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and endure long shifts with physical activity.
• Input work orders and parts using computer systems.
• Maintain precise alignment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Replace defective parts and machine shop components as needed.
• Maintain records of labor hours and PM findings on work orders.
• Assist with creating job plans for future repairs.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Participate in special projects and overtime as needed.
