Job summary

McWane Ductile - NJ is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to coordinate, construct, fabricate, install, repair and maintain production equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to keep the ductile iron pipe process running smoothly. The role involves reading blueprints, dismantling and moving machines, aligning and mounting components, and performing rebuilds as needed.

You will work under the CBA and must meet safety procedures; HS diploma and typically 3–5 years of experience are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Preferred Three to five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
• Ability to read schematics, in depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Must be able to interact with all personnel levels
• Must work with others in a professional, supportive manner
• Ability to read policies and procedures
• Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures
• Must be a motivated self-starter

Responsibilities

• Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions.
• Handle and use mechanical repair tools safely.
• Repair and rebuild equipment throughout the plant.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines.
• Move machinery and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and rails.
• Construct foundations for machines.
• Align machines and equipment.
• Assemble machines and fasten to foundations or other structures.
