Job summary

Nationwide Technical Search is seeking a Maintenance Millwright for the 2nd shift in Anniston, AL. This onsite, permanent role offers full benefits and relocation assistance. Compensation is $30.50 per hour plus shift premium.

Responsibilities include aligning, assembling, and installing equipment, setting clearances, and performing routine maintenance. A technical-associates degree and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or vocational training preferred.
• Three to five years of related on-the-job experience required.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of applying engineering science to design and production of goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Tyler Union Safety Management Program and report deviations.
• Insert shims and adjust tension using hand tools to set specified clearances.
• Align machines with hoists, jacks, and measuring tools to center units.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
• Layout mounting holes and drill with a power drill.
• Signal crane operator to lower units and align to centerline.
• Replace defective parts and adjust moving parts for proper clearance.
• Level bedplate and establish centerline using straightedge, levels, and transit.
• Dismantle machines using hammers and wrenches.
• Attach moving parts to basic units using hand and power tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

Responsibilities

• Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
• Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts or bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
• Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.
• Signal crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate, and align unit to centerline.
• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Level bedplate and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transit.
• Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.
• Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
