Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America in Clinton, IA, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to safeguard and optimize plant equipment, conveyors, pumps and gear reducers while performing welding and fabrication tasks. You will diagnose failures and implement corrective actions in a safety‑minded environment.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial maintenance and a High School Diploma or GED, with willingness to work off shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Build a solid understanding of plant equipment, procedures, material flow, etc.
• Diagnose mechanical reasons for failure.
• Breakdown, assess, and rebuild gear reducers and pumps.
• Perform Arc, Tig, and Mig welding procedures.
• Layout, fabricate, and install all types of spouts, hoppers, transitions, and mechanical guards.
• Follow plant safety practices at all times.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair screw conveyors, belt conveyors, lift leap and pneumatic conveyance system.
• Work with vendors to improve plant maintenance practices.

Pay: $40.87 - $46.23 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
