Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician - Plant Support for our Newberry, FL plant. You will maintain equipment, perform mechanical repairs, and complete minor fabrication work to keep production lines running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, disassembly and repair of machinery, bearing installation, and carrying out preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience maintaining equipment.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and confined spaces.

• Preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, and cutting.
• Disassembly, repair, rebuild, and reassembly of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Bearing installation.
• Millwright skills.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, including inspection, troubleshooting, and lubrication of equipment.
• Maintain safe work areas and operate mobile equipment as needed.
• Properly maintain baghouses functions, troubleshoot baghouse and replace bags/cartridges.

About the Role

Additional Job Responsibilities may include:

• Properly maintain baghouses functions, Ex: preventive maintenance, troubleshoot baghouse, replace bags or cartridges, replace gauges, replace diaphragms.

• Work on items related to safety (safety work orders, safety suggestions) and to be able to work on items during scheduled down days or break ins at the plant.
