Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Newberry, FL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician to keep equipment running through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. You will perform preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant, including welding, fabrication, assembly, disassembly, and bearing installation, working in dusty environments and in confined spaces.

Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience operating mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts).
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, and cutting.
• Disassembly, repair, rebuild, and reassembly of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Bearing installation.
• Millwright skills.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, including inspection, troubleshooting, and lubrication of equipment.
• Maintain safe work areas and operate mobile equipment as needed.
