Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician - Plant Support for our Newberry, FL facility. You will maintain and repair plant equipment, perform mechanical fabrication, and support daily plant operations to ensure reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of equipment maintenance experience, welding/fabrication skills, and strong communication, math, and organizational abilities. The role offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to work with millwright processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience maintaining equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.
• Mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, and cutting.
• Disassembly, repair, rebuild, and reassembly of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Bearing installation.
• Millwright skills.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance, including inspection, troubleshooting, and lubrication of equipment.
• Maintain safe work areas and operate mobile equipment as needed.
• Maintain baghouses functions and related tasks; replace bags/cartridges, gauges, diaphragms.
• Address safety-related work orders and participate during scheduled down days or plant breaks.

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN - PLANT SUPPORT to join our Newberry, FL plant. As a Maintenance MechanicalTechnician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will maintain equipment, perform mechanical repairs, and complete minor fabrication work.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• Preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.

• Work on items related to safety (safety work orders, safety suggestions) and to be able to work on items during scheduled down days or break ins at the plant.
