Job summary

SLB in Mobile, Alabama seeks a proactive Maintenance Mechanical to support manufacturing operations. You will ensure the reliability and safety of production equipment and facility systems, minimizing downtime through timely maintenance and repairs.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on complex machinery, read schematics and work orders, and maintain accurate records while complying with safety and environmental standards. This is a fulltime on-site role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, equipment or facility maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, methods, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and related maintenance tools.
  • Ability to perform basic fabrication, welding, plumbing or carpentry repair work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job description

SLB is seeking a proactive Maintenance Mechanical to join our manufacturing team in Mobile, Alabama. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of production equipment and facility systems that support manufacturing operations. The technician will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency through timely maintenance and repair activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure to identify maintenance requirements and potential failures.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimize operational downtime.
  • Test electrical circuits, wiring, fixtures, and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of completed work.
  • Manage maintenance supplies and inventory to support ongoing operations.
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental requirements while performing maintenance activities.
Qualifications And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver's license required.
