Job summary

TE Connectivity in Medway, MA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic V (1st shift) to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and to support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

You will work hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment, read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, document activities in CMMS, and collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Massachusetts electrician license preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Support PLC-controlled equipment and read machine diagrams.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.

Job Overview

In this senior-level position, you'll leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment issues, maintain critical facility systems, and support continuous improvement efforts across the plant.

Job Requirements
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley or similar).
  • Perform electrical work on industrial systems up to480V, 3-phase.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Adjust, calibrate, and support equipment setup to ensure quality production.
  • Document maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
  • Recommend equipment and process improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams.
  • Support overtime, weekends, and emergency maintenance needs as required.
What your background should look like
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Licensed Massachusetts Electrician preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on skills with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, CNC equipment, HVAC, and automation components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and machine diagrams.
  • Experience troubleshooting machine controls, automation systems, and facility support equipment.
  • Forklift maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Computer literacy for completing maintenance logs and reporting.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and move throughout the facility as needed
  • Comfortable working around machinery, varying temperatures, and noise levels

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $87,600 – $131,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
