Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) invites applications for a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DC. You will support the engineering team, perform building maintenance, and respond to tenant service requests to keep spaces functional and safe.

The role requires 3-5 years in related trades, EPA Universal CFC certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and access ladders. Independent work and teamwork are both valued.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• EPA Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment.
• Complete painting, pressure cleaning, minor plumbing repairs, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
• Perform interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture.
• Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts throughout the property.
• Conduct property inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues early.
• Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs to advance your skills.

What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll keep our commercial properties running smoothly through hands‑on maintenance and repair work. You'll tackle diverse tasks—from painting and plumbing repairs to lighting maintenance and tenant service requests—ensuring our spaces remain functional and safe. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and in this role, you'll work independently or with teammates to solve problems and deliver excellent service. Your work directly impacts the experience of building occupants, making every repair and inspection an opportunity to demonstrate care and technical expertise. This position operates under the Local 99 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Shift Monday to Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Salary $42.09 hourly

Expected compensation for this position: 87,547.00 – 87,547.00 USD per year

What your day-to-day will look like:
