Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in our Georgia facilities.

The role includes reading manuals and work orders, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance to support plant reliability and safety. Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic skills are essential, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting with demonstrated mechanical skills.
• Completion of a mechanical trades certificate or degreed program is required or beneficial.
• Experience or training of electrical maintenance is an added benefit.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform simple preventative maintenance such as greasing and changing filters.
• Diagnose problems and replace parts, test and adjust as needed.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance.
• Operate in a CMMS with input of maintenance results/history, BOMs, and work orders.
