Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the Processing Department to repair and optimize machinery and ensure safe, quality food production. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance across processing areas, with responsibilities for reporting and recommending improvements.

The position requires hands-on skills with motors, pumps, and control systems, plus the ability to read schematics and work with PLC logic.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of processing, packaging, and facilities utilities preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational training in mechanical/electrical trades is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical motors, pumps, and water systems is required.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and interpret schematics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment using hand and power tools.
• Service electric motors, heaters, coolers, and related equipment.
• Maintain steam and chemical water treatment systems and related gauges.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
