Position Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of equipment and machinery throughout our modern food manufacturing plant. You will ensure that all systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, operate efficiently to keep production running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and other food manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests and provide effective solutions to equipment failures.
  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, drives, and controls, ensuring that all machinery is calibrated and operates correctly.
  • Work with production teams to ensure equipment is set up and calibrated for efficient operation.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and plant upgrades as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety protocols, industry regulations, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering parts as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimization.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing or a related industry.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic tools, welding, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards (such as HACCP) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Willingness to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
