Job summary

AMP is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic Technician in Commerce City, CO. The role covers the full operating facility, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment such as balers, sort lines, loaders, and forklifts.

You will work under the Plant Manager and ensure compliance with safety standards while driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, reads schematics, and is skilled with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, motor/gearbox replacements,

Qualifications

• Equivalent of high school diploma or GED; technical certifications are highly desired.
• 3+ years of direct experience maintaining similar machinery in production.
• Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics; motor/gearbox replacements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all processing and support systems to specifications.
• Investigate and identify solutions to technical issues across shifts.
• Increase equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager and operations; assist with CMMS entries.
• Act as emergency coordinator for the plant.
