JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic/Technician is part of Waev's Transformation Team. This role performs all functions needed for the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and manufacturing equipment, with a focus on keeping production running. Manufacturing engineering experience is a strong plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and make repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Install and maintain specialty power, air, and water systems for the facility.
• Perform plumbing, concrete work, painting, hydraulics, carpentry, and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Create, implement, and audit preventive maintenance schedules and keep repair records.
• Work safely and recommend improvements to equipment, facilities upkeep, and line flow.
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of building and machinery maintenance and repair experience.
• Proficient in building and machinery upkeep and repair, including electrical (440V/110V), plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, and general equipment repair. Fluent in Microsoft Excel.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Hands-on, willing to take on multiple tasks each day, and communicates well with all levels of management and peers.
• A plus: manufacturing engineering experience, such as building fixtures and tooling, line layout changes, kanban, or root cause analysis. CAD, welding, or fabrication skills also a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Fast-paced manufacturing enviornment
• Continuous standing/walking of approximately 7 hours per day; operating floor controls with both feet; firm grasping and fine manipulation with both hands.
• May include exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and gases, working at heights, moving machinery, and driving in-house equipment.
