Job summary

P&K Stone, Llc is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for the Projects Team. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair of processing equipment across multiple locations, including conveyors, feeders, pumps, shakers and crushers.

Electrical work in 120V, 480V, 12V and 24V is expected, with travel to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma using your own tools. The role requires welding and fabrication, operation of all-terrain telehandler or excavator, and adherence to mine safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites across the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of processing equipment at multiple locations.
• Assist with special projects and modifications to conveyors, pumps, shakers and crushers.

Job description

We are looking for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for the P&K Stone Projects Team. This position would be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repair of processing equipment and assisting to complete special projects within various P&K Stone locations. This includes, but not limited to, stationary equipment, industrial and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, feeders, pumps, shakers and crushers. Candidates should be familiar with electrical work in various voltages/configurations (120V, 480V, 12V and 24V). Position requires candidates travel to P&K locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with self provided truck and tools to complete tasks. Tools include basic hand tools, C-clamps, ½-ton – 1-ton come-along, drills, grinders, measures and leveling tools, minimum 260 arc welder, plasma cutting torch. Experience operating all-terrain telehandler a plus. Previous experience inside mine sites and/or MSHA training a plus.

Paid truck allowance for providing own vehicle with tools listed above.

Preferred Position Skills:

- Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

- Welding and fabrication of steel to produce components such as conveyor legs, material chutes, and equipment support structures

- Operating equipment such as an all-terrain telehandler and/or excavator

- Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis

- Previous experience working within active mine sites

- 1-2 years minimum of previous stationary/mobile maintenance

- MSHA Part 46 training

- Ability to work in outdoor conditions

- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

- Ability to follow P&K Stone mine safety rules and practices

- Ability to travel to P&K Stone locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with candidate’s own tools

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
