Job summary

Hallmark in Lawrence, Kansas is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic (1st shift) to support the Lawrence Production Center. This full-time role requires installing and maintaining production equipment, performing electrical work, PLC troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs to ensure safety, quality, and throughput.

The position operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm with an hourly rate of $26–$38 based on experience, and offers a sign-on bonus of $250 after 90 days and $750 after 6 months

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Technical training covering basic electrical fundamentals including high/low voltage systems, or HVAC training, or 2 years of repair experience on industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and push/pull repeatedly.
• Color perception testing required.
• Must be able to pass color perception test.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical connections, repairs, and troubleshooting on AC control systems for 120/240/480 voltages.
• Repair power transmission systems and operate shop machines for fabrication of parts.
• Interpret basic machine schematics and building blueprints.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and AC drive systems; read electrical schematics.
• Perform basic utility connections and repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Operate welding equipment with appropriate PPE and understand welding principles.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and solid state circuitry; perform HVAC-related tasks as needed.
• Maintain safe working practices and PPE compliance.
