Job summary

Hallmark in Lawrence, Kansas, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift. This full-time role (Mon–Fri, 7:30am–3:30pm) supports manufacturing by installing and maintaining production equipment. You’ll troubleshoot PLCs, read schematics, and handle electrical, pneumatic, and welding tasks.

A color perception test is required; sign-on bonuses apply after probation based on performance. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Technical training or 2 years of mechanical/electrical repair experience.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical connections, repairs, and troubleshooting on AC control systems.
• Repair power transmission systems and fabricate machinery parts.
• Read basic schematics and PLC/Freq drive troubleshooting.
• Perform HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulics, and welding-related tasks.
• Ensure safety and proper PPE usage.
