Job summary

Fuchs Lubricants Co. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Harvey facility. You will repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, assist with preventive maintenance training, and support safe operations on site.

The role requires a high school diploma with 5+ years experience, automation/fabrication knowledge, and PLC programming ability. A Technical School Certification is a plus. 1st shift, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and 5+ years of experience.
Technical School Certification is a plus.
Experience in automation and fabrication required.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
High Proficiency in electrical systems.
High Proficiency in plumbing systems.
Experience with programming PLCs.
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics (including isometric, ladder diagrams).
Experience with Welding and Piping Assembly.

Responsibilities

Performing Preventive Maintenance activities and recording information.
Troubleshooting motor control systems and replacing defective devices.
Troubleshooting pumps, agitators, air compressors, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment.
Troubleshooting instrumentation like flow and pressure transmitters.
Troubleshooting PLC controlled automated systems and interlocks.
Maintaining systems to be compliant with Illinois state requirements (fire systems, boilers, elevators).
Fabrication and piping tasks including welding.
Repairing mobile equipment (forklifts, lifts).
Adhering to safety procedures and permits.
