U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to keep a plant running smoothly by performing electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks and by controlling tool inventory. The role requires reliable attendance and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

The position involves changing oil on vehicles and equipment, ordering supplies, and helping manage the shop budget. A valid driver’s license is required, and basic computer skills are essential for daily tasks.

Facility Maintenance Mechanic Primary Responsibilities

• Daily attendance critical to plant success

Maintenance Mechanic Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
