Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab in Fountain Hill is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on mechanical and structural maintenance and upkeep of facility systems and equipment.

The position is 32 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday rotation. It is not benefit-eligible; hours are flexible. Candidate must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and operate a range of maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques in mechanical & structural maintenance repair work.
• Knowledge of tools, materials & safety precautions in maintenance work.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.
• Ability to estimate time, materials and equipment for jobs.
• Ability to instruct and oversee others and follow instructions.
• Ability to keep records of activities.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tools & materials (40 lbs minimum).
• Ability to work near patients and visitors as required.

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hill.

• PT 32 hr/week, every other weekend and holiday rotation, hours flexible


• 1,000/hour year from hire date not benefit eligible position

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques commonly employed in mechanical & structural maintenance repair & repair work.


• Through knowledge of tools, materials & safety precautions of mechanical & structural maintenance & repair work.


• Ability to operate motor vehicles of various sizes, maintenance and construction equipment.


• Ability to determine time, materials, equipment required to complete assigned jobs.


• ability to instruct & oversee the efforts of other personnel as well as understand & follow oral & written instructions.


• ability to keep record of activities.


• ability to lift, carry & maneuver into position of variety of heavy and/or unwieldy tools & materials.


• ability to work in close proximity to nursing facility patients, families & visitors, if required by work assignment.


• Must have full use of hands, ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Additional Requirements

• Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade.


• 2-3 years' experience in equipment & facility maintenance or repair work.


• Any equivalent combination of training & experience which has provided the knowledge, skills & abilities cited above.


• possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's licensed issued by the Commonwealth of PA.
