Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Night Maintenance Mechanic in the United States. The role focuses on keeping facilities and equipment safe and efficient, including forklifts and pallet jacks, with duties spanning preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment; ensure compliance with safety standards; and support smooth 4pm–12:30am shifts Sunday night through Thursday night.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months maintenance and repair experience.
• Mechanical experience with Electric Pallet Jacks and Forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Obtains work schedule and daily production paperwork; prepares for operations and performs daily safety checks.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on equipment within guidelines of processes.
• Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies facilities and grounds according to a set schedule and in emergencies.
• Performs housekeeping duties and keeps maintenance area orderly; secures equipment and completes reports at shift end.
• Shift time is 4pm - 12:30am - Sunday night through Thursday night weekly.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety of our associates! The Night Maintenance Mechanic keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities/Forklifts/Pallet jacks. Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment (Forklifts/Pallet jacks) on company premises. Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Obtains work schedule and dailyproduction paperwork and prepare for operations. Performs daily safety checks.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
• Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area orderly and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
• Shift time is 4pm - 12:30am - Sunday night through Thursday night weekly
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months maintenance and repair or related area to
• Mechanical experience with Electric Pallet Jacks and Forklifts or related area
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background
