Delta Sonic in Chicago, IL is seeking an Overnight Equipment Mechanic to repair car wash equipment and support facility systems. This benefitted, full-time role offers a 4-day work week (Mon–Thu) and pay from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour with a $5 night differential, depending on experience.

You will troubleshoot electrical, welding, and plumbing, perform basic maintenance, and assist with small projects. The job requires teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to lift heavy items and stand for

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• 1–3 years of electrical, welding, and plumbing experience preferred.
• Good mechanical knowledge with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a team with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift heavy weight and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities:

Delta Sonic's Overnight Equipment Mechanics are primarily responsible for conducting minor repairs to car wash equipment, property maintenance, light duty construction, new project start-ups, and building and equipment renovations. This is a benefitted, full-time position, with a 4-day work week, Monday-Thursday. The pay range for this position is $20.00-$30.00 per hour, with an additional $5 per hour overnight differential, depending upon experience.

Requirements:

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor environments
• One to three years of electrical, welding, and plumbing experience is preferred
• Good mechanic knowledge/skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems
• Ability to work both independently or as a team on assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
• Ability to walk, stand, and bend for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to frequently lift heavy amounts of weight, with or without reasonable accommodation
