Job summary

Community Access in New York, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will assist with maintaining agency apartments and facilities, performing basic repairs in masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and overall maintenance of residential building systems.

Under the supervision of the Area Superintendent, you will handle cleaning, disinfection, trash removal and tasks; meet KPIs for work orders, apartment turnovers, and inspections while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining agency apartments and facilities, including basic repairs in masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and building systems.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection, trash removal, and other maintenance tasks as directed by the Area Superintendent.
• Support with apartment turnovers and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to compliance with government regulations and safety standards.
