Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for Night Shift to ensure reliable operation of plant equipment at our Texas facility. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous production.

The role requires reading schematics, working with three-phase systems, and welding as needed. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, OSHA safety knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or completion of technical school
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements related to electrical and mechanical operations
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
• Working knowledge of three phase 480 volt equipment
• Familiar with three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, and NEC
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Comfort with climbing, bending, pushing, and twisting
• Ability to use tools and equipment for maintenance
• Holds a focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced plant environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair existing mechanical equipment in the production area
• Operate mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor
• Prepare maintenance reports for management as directed
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings
• Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with facility personnel
• Replace or repair faulty mechanical components of machines
• Calibrate and adjust equipment per manufacturer specifications
• Maintain stock of tools and electrical parts for routine work
• Weld and fabricate as required

Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical/electronic malfunctions, completing appropriate repairs and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work
• Weld and fabricate as required

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent or completion of technical school or equivalent in training, experience and education
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
• Full knowledge of three phase 480 volt equipment
• Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces and National Electrical Code
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 70 lbs
• Requires often climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting
• Ability to use tools and equipment to repair and provide maintenance while standing, crouching, stretching, extending extremities and under extreme work environments
